An interactive pattern-making projected installation.
Motif is a projected pattern making game. Press the buttons to change each layer of the pattern. The project is inspired by William Morris’s technique of layering imagery to create complex patterns, and features landmarks, animals and greenery that can be found in Waltham Forest. There’s also drop-in origami crane making, inspired by the birds that are a common motif in William Morris’s work.
If you can’t make it to the physical installation, you can also play Motif online now. (Works best on desktop)
